Responsible organization, scope and effective date
Cambridge Bowling Club Incorporated is identified as the organization responsible for Rink & Radius version 1.0.0. This policy describes the Android application only. It does not automatically apply to the club's general website, membership administration, venue operations, competitions, in-person conversations, external email providers or services operated by Bowls New Zealand, Bowls Waikato or another party. This policy is effective from 11 August 2026.

App identity, version and purpose
Rink & Radius is a lawn-bowls fieldbook for exploring line, length, bias, practice-end structure, generic head shapes, rink courtesy and adult club-day preparation. The content is educational and reflective. The app is not a live fixture service, membership system, booking tool, official score record, team-selection system, umpiring service, safety certification or emergency channel.

Intended audience and supported participation
The app is written primarily for adults, including new and experienced bowlers, coaches, adult volunteers, parents or guardians and adult session leaders. If a younger person encounters the material, participation should remain under appropriate parent, guardian or club supervision. Rink & Radius does not create child accounts, enable direct adult-child messaging or ask a child to submit personal information.

Offline operation and network behavior
The installed app is designed to work without an internet connection. Its Android manifest does not request Internet permission and the app contains no network client. Lessons, illustrations, policy text and source notes are packaged inside the application. The app cannot silently upload a selection, download a live update or synchronize activity to a server.

Information processed on the device
The app may process fixed interface choices needed to display the screen being used, such as a selected learning district, chosen practice parameters, anonymous bowl-token positions, completed checklist items, reading size, contrast, reduced-motion preference and bookmarked lessons. Processing occurs within the app on the device. These choices are not associated with a name, email address, membership number or player profile.

Session-only tools and local preferences
End Composer, Head Mapper, Match Table, temporary counters and Club Day Kit are intended for the current session. Closing or resetting a tool clears its temporary state. Only accessibility settings, onboarding state and optional lesson bookmarks may persist in app-private preferences. The app does not create a longitudinal performance history or infer ability, health, age, identity or selection status.

Information the app does not collect
Rink & Radius does not collect names, email addresses, telephone numbers, home addresses, dates of birth, government identifiers, D-U-N-S numbers, membership records, payment information, official results, team selections, free-text notes, photographs, audio, contacts, calendar entries, precise or approximate location, device advertising identifiers, health information, incident reports or emergency details. It does not collect camera, microphone, motion or biometric data.

Android permissions
The app requests no dangerous or sensitive Android permission. It does not request Internet, camera, microphone, location, contacts, calendar, activity recognition, notifications, nearby devices, Bluetooth, health or broad file-storage access. Android or the build system may declare internal platform components that are not user-data permissions; those components do not expand the behavior described here.

Accounts, servers and third-party SDKs
There is no Rink & Radius account, login, remote database or cloud backup. The app contains no advertising, analytics, attribution, telemetry, remote configuration, social, payment or third-party crash-reporting SDK. The app does not use a WebView to display remote content. Android backup and device-to-device transfer are deliberately disabled for app-held preferences.

Sharing, sale, advertising and tracking
Because the app does not collect user data or transmit app activity, it does not sell, rent or share user data with advertisers, data brokers, sponsors, sports bodies or other organizations. It does not show targeted or contextual advertising, create an advertising profile, perform cross-app tracking or measure engagement through a remote analytics service.

Retention, reset, deletion and disabled backup
Temporary tool state is retained only while needed for the current app session. Optional bookmarks and accessibility preferences remain in the app's private storage until the user clears them. The in-app Clear Local Choices control removes stored preferences. Android Clear storage and uninstall also remove app-held state. No account-deletion request is needed because the app creates no account and maintains no server copy.

Security boundaries
Local-only design reduces exposure but cannot guarantee the security of the device itself. A person with access to an unlocked device may see the current screen or local preferences. Users should rely on Android screen lock and device-security controls. Do not use the app to hold confidential team, health, safeguarding, membership, financial or incident information; its fixed tools are not designed for those records.

External email and support behavior
Selecting the contact action asks Android to open a compatible external email application with the club address. Rink & Radius itself does not compose, send, read, receive or retain the message. Any information a user chooses to send is processed under the chosen email provider's terms and the recipient's applicable practices. Users should review the message before sending and avoid unnecessary sensitive information.

Sport, health, weather and safety limitations
Practice diagrams are general illustrations and not personalized technique, medical, rehabilitation, fitness, weather or risk advice. The app does not determine whether a green is open, a surface is safe, conditions are suitable, equipment is compliant or a person is fit to play. Stop when something feels unsafe and follow current club instructions, event officials, qualified professionals and emergency services. The app cannot place an emergency call or receive a hazard report.

Children, safeguarding and guardian responsibility
The app does not knowingly solicit personal information from children and provides no child account, chat, public profile, image upload, precise location or adult-child contact channel. Parents, guardians and authorized club adults remain responsible for supervision, consent, transport, collection, images and compliance with current safeguarding procedures. Urgent safeguarding concerns should be taken outside the app to an appropriate authorized person or service.

Privacy rights and international use
The app holds no remotely searchable user record. A user can inspect and erase app-held state directly through Clear Local Choices, Android Clear storage or uninstall. Privacy rights relating to a separate club website, membership record, competition platform or email exchange should be directed to the organization that controls that information. Users outside New Zealand receive the same local-only app behavior described here.

Policy changes and version alignment
If a future app version adds a permission, network feature, account, analytics, advertising, messaging, payment, booking, health processing or another material behavior, the policy and Play disclosures must be reviewed before release. A revised policy will identify a new effective date and version. The policy packaged with version 1.0.0 describes that exact offline build and should match the public privacy page.

Local by design
The useful work happens on the device.
Rink & Radius version 1.0.0 packages its lessons, illustrations, temporary instruments, source notes and privacy text inside the Android application. It has no Internet permission, account, cloud database, advertising, analytics, attribution or remote configuration. A lesson bookmark or reading preference may remain in app-private storage; an End Composer result, Head Mapper layout, Green Notes strip and Club Day selection are intended only for the running session. Clear Local Choices, Android Clear storage or uninstall removes app-held state.
Authority remains human
An illustration cannot inspect a real green.
The product cannot confirm a session, forecast, surface, access route, equipment, law, condition of play, score, selection, eligibility decision or participant readiness. Current club staff, adult session leaders, coaches, event officials, posted venue instructions, qualified professionals and emergency services take priority. The app supports a calmer conversation; it does not silently turn that conversation into an operational instruction, official record, medical assessment or emergency report.
Publication boundary
A package is not a public deployment.
This static site explains the app and hosts its app-specific policy after deployment. A ZIP stored on a computer is not yet a public privacy URL. The publisher must upload the package, verify the final HTTPS homepage and both privacy routes, confirm control of the published support contact, review current Play declarations against the exact AAB and retain appropriate rights evidence for supplied or generated imagery.
