Forty illustrated lessons

The seven fieldbook districts

A complete curriculum for observing and discussing lawn bowls without creating a player record or claiming live club information.

01

Foundation

Seven lessons introduce the rink, a welcoming first end, visual space, balanced delivery rhythm, grip, mat-and-jack sequence and neutral line-and-length language.

02

Line

Six lessons compare forehand and backhand windows, centre reference, short-jack perspective, shared rhythm and long-view patience.

03

Length

Six lessons explore draw-depth zones, trail space, yard-on intention, weighted contact, guard depth and a position beyond the jack.

04

Bias

Six lessons use wide or short finishes, concentric head reading, measuring space, two-option dialogue and lead placement.

05

Shot Library

Seven lessons examine second, third and skip perspectives plus adult pairs, triples, fours and social roll-up flow.

06

Head Reading

Four lessons cover adult coaching language, composing an end, an anonymous map and courtesy around a close head.

07

Club Day

Four lessons connect preparation, an equipment demonstration, a length station and a respectful close.

Every lesson has a complete shape

Purpose, setup, sequence, observation, variation and close.

A lesson does more than caption an image. It explains what the activity is for, what the real environment must supply, how to proceed in several readable steps, what to observe without judging a person, how to simplify or extend the exercise and how to restore the shared space.

That structure keeps safety and authority boundaries inside the learning material rather than hiding them in a generic disclaimer.

Private bookmark

Remember the lesson, not the player.

A bookmark stores only a lesson identifier in app-private preferences. It never stores a participant name, score, photograph, ability assessment, health note, team choice or match history. Clear Local Choices or uninstall removes it.

Local by design

The useful work happens on the device.

Rink & Radius version 1.0.0 packages its lessons, illustrations, temporary instruments, source notes and privacy text inside the Android application. It has no Internet permission, account, cloud database, advertising, analytics, attribution or remote configuration. A lesson bookmark or reading preference may remain in app-private storage; an End Composer result, Head Mapper layout, Green Notes strip and Club Day selection are intended only for the running session. Clear Local Choices, Android Clear storage or uninstall removes app-held state.

Authority remains human

An illustration cannot inspect a real green.

The product cannot confirm a session, forecast, surface, access route, equipment, law, condition of play, score, selection, eligibility decision or participant readiness. Current club staff, adult session leaders, coaches, event officials, posted venue instructions, qualified professionals and emergency services take priority. The app supports a calmer conversation; it does not silently turn that conversation into an operational instruction, official record, medical assessment or emergency report.

Publication boundary

A package is not a public deployment.

This static site explains the app and hosts its app-specific policy after deployment. A ZIP stored on a computer is not yet a public privacy URL. The publisher must upload the package, verify the final HTTPS homepage and both privacy routes, confirm control of the published support contact, review current Play declarations against the exact AAB and retain appropriate rights evidence for supplied or generated imagery.
